2014 NBA Draft: Grading each team’s draft

Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks got their guy. Jabari Parker, who is a Chicago native, was the reported target for Milwaukee throughout the process, and when Andrew Wiggins landed with the Cavs with the top pick, the Bucks were able to pick him up without leveraging other assets. Parker is considered to be the most NBA-ready of all the top picks in this year’s class, and even with some concern about his defensive acumen at this stage (read: he can’t guard anyone), there is a real possibility that he could average 20 points per game as a rookie in the NBA.
Later in the night, the Bucks selected both French swingman Damien Inglis and former LSU forward Johnny O’Bryant. Inglis appears to be an upside selection after drawing some comparisons to Kawhi Leonard (fashionable!), and O’Bryant showed the propensity to create his own offense in the paint while in Baton Rouge. I wasn’t in love with either pick, but this night was about Jabari Parker from moment one, and neither selection was a disaster.
