Phoenix Suns

The Suns entered the night with three first round picks and the published desire to only have one or two rookies on next year’s roster. Phoenix accomplished that goal. With their first pick at number 14 overall, the Suns elected to tab NC State forward T.J. Warren, and if there is anything certain in this draft, it is that T.J. Warren will score right away. The versatile forward led the ACC in scoring (ahead of Jabari Parker), and in Phoenix’s wide open system, the sky is the limit on what he can accomplish.

Later, Phoenix took the “best player available” in picking up North Carolina point guard Tyler Ennis. This pick could have roster ramifications in that Eric Bledsoe is a free agent this summer, but moreover, it appears that the Suns just liked Ennis’ game, and he would be a nice option to bring along slowly behind incumbent Goran Dragic. With their third first rounder, Bogdan Bogdanovic was the choice, and he is the epitome of a Euro-stash to keep roster flexibility.
