Brooklyn Nets

Before the night began, there was a real possibility that the Brooklyn Nets would leave their own arena quietly, but they made a minor splash by acquiring three second-round selections. My favorite pick of the night for Brooklyn was the final pick of the entire draft in Baylor power forward Cory Jefferson, but in all honesty, the Nets have a real possibility of cutting all three players that they brought in.

Markel Brown of Oklahoma State was the first selection, but he was quickly duplicated by Xavier Thames, and both players basically do the same things well. If Brooklyn is looking for offense on their roster next season, Jason Kidd could elect to keep one or both of the swingmen, but they are relatively low upside players, and that makes this a “meh” draft for the Nets.
