The NFC East alone is a revolving door of playoff appearances. This seems more of just a law of averages thing than an actual indictment on the Eagles’ upcoming season. The odds aren’t in their favor to return to the playoffs.

The Eagles didn’t have the best draft because most questioned their first round pick in linebacker Marcus Smith. The best offseason move was signing free agent safety Malcolm Jenkins. They also traded backup quarterbacks with the New York Jets as well as released their move productive wide receiver from the 2013 season. They will get Jeremy Maclin back from ACL injury he suffered in training camp last year. Nick Foles will have to show that last season’s numbers weren’t an aberration and he can put up the same kind of production while starting 16 games.
