The Panthers had an awesome season in 2013. They followed up their 12-4 record and second seed in the NFC playoffs by losing four of their top receivers, most of their starting secondary and a left tackle in free agency. Not to mention Cam Newton is now recovering from ankle surgery. If the odds say that one or more of the teams who made the playoffs won’t return back again this season, I’d say the Panthers have a chance to be one of those teams.

On top of the offseason woes for the Carolina Panthers, the NFC South isn’t exactly a walk in the park to get through. No one is expecting the Falcons to have another down year and the Saints are going to be in it as long as they have Drew Brees. On top of that, who can say how successful Lovie Smith can be in his first season coaching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
