Sam Bradford

Everyone, besides Texas fans, wants Sam Bradford to do well in the NFL. The former Oklahoma Sooner is nearing the end of his rookie contract and has reached the “put up or shut up” time.

The league has given him passes because his team has been bad, or he was a rookie, or he has been injured, but he is now playing with his last hand. All his chips are in the middle. Their were murmurs that the Rams were going to go after a replacement this past off-season, but apparently are giving Bradford a chance – which is probably warranted. Through seven games last year, he was having his “best” year as a pro, throwing 14 touchdowns to only four interceptions.

The Rams have yet to have a winning record with Bradford taking the snaps, and the team itself has not been to the playoffs since 2004. With the off-season additions the team has made, such as WR Kenny Britt, they have decided to either sink or swim with the fifth-year quarterback recovering from ACL surgery. Don’t worry, I’m sure Michael Sam will still get most of the media coverage.
