Carmelo Anthony It’s almost safe to say that Carmelo’s free agency adventure will leave a sour taste in the mouths of Knicks fans.  Whether they loved him in New York, or couldn’t wait for him to leave.   So far it looks like those who wanted him to leave may just get their wish.     Anthony (27.4 PPG, 8.1 RPG, 3.1 APG) has already met with the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, Houston Rockets (who apparently already have a jersey waiting for him) on Wednesday and both the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks on Thursday in L.A.     The Lakers, who seem to be the underdog in the mix that may actually pull off the signing, are looking to create somewhat of a Big 3 of their own between Kobe Bryant, Melo and Pau Gasol, who Bryant says he’ll bring back if they get Anthony.   Meanwhile, the Knicks are hoping that they can convince Melo to stay, and rumors around the league are saying that he just might stay in the Big Apple as the Knicks are the only team that can give him the fifth year and the 7.5 percent raises in his contract, according to NBA reporter Mark Deeks.
