NBA fee agency has been slow going over the weekend but before the festivities of the Fourth of July could kick in on Friday, Spencer Hawes decided to choose where he wants to play in the 2014-15 season.

More from Los Angeles Clippers

Now that he’s with the Los Angeles Clippers, Hawes is letting loose and is trying to settle in, which means that he naturally has challenged All-Star forward Blake Griffin to an arm wrestling contest to see who will wear the No. 32 jersey from this point forward.

Griffin had a classic response to the challenge.

This is great for Clippers fans because it shows not only that Blake Griffin still has his sense of humor, but also that the relationship between Griffin and Hawes is off to a great start.

Los Angeles needs players like Hawes in their lineup and they need everyone to get along. We saw in Indiana what happens when someone new comes in and threatens the job of another. That’s clearly not the case here though, and if there are any difference it can all be settled the old fashion way — by arm wrestling.
