Joe Thomas, Offensive Tackle – Cleveland Browns

Pass protection is king among NFL offensive tackles (especially on the left side), and Cleveland Browns tackle Joe Thomas is the best pass-blocking offensive lineman in the league. At 29 years old, there is plenty in the tank for the former Wisconsin star, and his 6-foot-6, 310-pound frame stands up to the pounding to the point where he has never missed a game across seven seasons in Cleveland.

The offensive tackle spot is difficult to evaluate because of the lack of statistical evidence, but Thomas displays incredible power to go along with flawless technique, and he is a virtual wall on the left side of the offensive line. In his younger days, there were minor concerns about his run blocking ability, but they have been alleviated in total, and Joe Thomas is the picture of what NFL left tackles are supposed to resemble. Cleveland may not have a great deal of “skill position” talent, but they do have the best offensive lineman alive.
