Cam Newton lands endorsement deal for cologne brand

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has landed a new endorsement deal that takes advantage of his handsome looks, chiseled physique and all around manly presence. Newton has signed on with L’Oreal to be the face of their cologne brand Drakkar Essence.

I have no idea what Drakkar Essence smells like – I don’t know what the hell Drakkar even is – and frankly I don’t want to know. But if the ads are all like this, I can guess that Newton’s time with the company will be very profitable for all involved. If this doesn’t get you to buy cologne, nothing will.
Cam Newton is the sex. That’s what that ad says to me. If you want to be the sex like Cam Newton, buy this cologne and splash it on. And let the ladies fall at your feet.
Studliness does come with a price though. Newton knows that he will probably get grief from teammates for this campaign and all the other stuff he’s been doing endorsement-wise. He told Women’s Wear Daily:
"Every time you see me on a magazine, I can guarantee it that someone’s going to tape it to my locker."
You should be okay Cam, as long as you restrict yourself to non-silly shoots. Don’t let yourself get caught in any situations where you’re clutching a baby goat like Tom Brady. You’ll be fine.
