New Orleans Saints

In his first season as defensive coordinator, Rob Ryan did a nice job with New Orleans’ defense. DVOA had that unit as the 10th best in football last season, and they should be better this year. In free agency, they overhauled their secondary by adding safety Jarius Byrd and veteran corner Champ Bailey. With Byrd, Bailey, Kenny Vaccaro, Rafael Bush, Keenan Lewis, Patrick Robinson and second round pick Stanley Jean-Baptiste, the Saints have quality depth in their secondary and Ryan has lots to experiment with.

Re-signing Jimmy Graham was obviously huge for the Saints offense. With their speed, rookie Brandin Cooks and last year’s fifth rounder Kenny Stills compliment the possession-receiving Marques Colston and give quarterback Drew Brees a variety of different receivers to throw to. At age 35, Brees doesn’t have that many more years left to try and win another Super Bowl. He’ll have a damn good chance to this season.
