Eli Manning

It is difficult to say that a player like Eli Manning is an athlete who needs a breakout season. We already understand the greatness the man is capable of.

When the lights are on, Eli normally steps up and shines on the brightest stages. Who can forget the incredible miraculous throws and wonderful pinpoint precision passes that he threw in not one (not a LeBron reference I promise), but two Super Bowls against the New England Patriots. They dubbed him “The Brady Killer.”

Entering his 11th year, Manning has only thrown for single digit interceptions one season in his career, which was his rookie year, where he played in 9 games.

The Giants were a disappointment. I understand they were decimated by injuries, line protection was terrible to say the least and who was rushing the ball for them(exactly)?

Albeit, Manning played horribly last year with the football tossing 27 interceptions! As great as Eli is, he needs consistency. The ability is there, his playoff numbers do not lie. Manning needs a breakout year finally showing that he can stop being turnover prone. As bad as he was, the Giants only finished 7-9. Big Blue has shown that they ride on how far Eli can take them. Is it insane to believe that Eli Manning can lead his team to double digit wins, throwing 35 touchdowns and 8 picks?

As Deion Sanders says “I believe in Eli.”

Since we are talking about quarterbacks, this is my last one.
