Dexter McCluster, WR

New Team: Tennessee Titans

Old Team: Kansas City Chiefs

McCluster is one the more dynamic players in the game. He’s not a great deep threat as a receiver and he’s not necessarily big enough to be a running back. McCluster is one the rare breed of slot speedsters that finds himself moving all over the field.

Last season, the Titans had a hard time moving the ball. They finished 21st in the league in total passing yards, and definitely need playmakers for their young quarterback, Jake Locker. McCluster could be the answer for the Titans.

Largely in Jamaal Charles’ shadow for the first few years of his career, McCluster set a career high last season in receptions (53) and yards (511). With a chance to be the focal point of the offense, McCluster heading to Tennessee has the possibility of turning around what’s been a few less-than successful seasons. I don’t foresee McCluster ever being as electric as a Wes Welker or a Percy Harvin, but he has the potential to be really good. We’ll see if the Titans can figure out a good way to use him.
