NFL: Luck, Wilson, 10 best players to start a franchise
By SJ Tuohy
#2 Aaron Rodgers (QB)
While Aaron Rodgers may be older as it pertains to this list, the Green Bay Packer signal caller is still in his prime. Oh, and he has thrown for 188 touchdowns, over 24,000 yards, won a Super Bowl MVP, a few player of the year awards…. He’s not a bad guy to have taking snaps for your team. He is a calm under pressure and delivers plays like this:
Apart from saving State Farm customers money with the “discount double-check” savings, Rodgers has also been voted the 4th best quarterback, behind Brady, Manning and Brees (11th best player overall ) in the NFL. His rank is down a bit from the past few seasons; he only threw for 2,536 yards. Conversely, he also had the lowest interception total of any starter in the league apart from Nick Foles, who did not play a full-season.
Maybe in part because he looks like Ryan from the office (or maybe not), Rodgers has a great off the field record as well. He is articulate, humorous, volunteering, and no reporters have seen any part of him they shouldn’t have seen. I would look for Rodgers to bounce back big this year. Take it from someone who has had Rogers as his quarterback in fantasy: he’s a winner (if he can get a little protection).
