NFL: Luck, Wilson, 10 best players to start a franchise
By SJ Tuohy
10) Nick Foles (QB)
This is my wildcard pick in a sense, only because of this concern: was last year a flash in the pan? If he shows something this year, his place most likely dramatically improves. I mean did you guys see his numbers last year? They were silly.
27 touchdowns to 2 interceptions. He had the third highest quarterback rating in NFL history. In three fewer games, he had more touchdowns than Russell Wilson and Cam Newton. Not to mention he also averaged 9.1 yards per attempt, a full yard better than the previous two quarterbacks mentioned.
The Pro Bowl MVP is just 25 going into only his third season in the league. It will be incredibly interesting to see if he can sustain even just a majority of the momentum he ended last season with. The Eagles won eight of their last nine with the former Arizona State Sun Devil taking the snaps.
