2) Patrick Peterson vs. Calvin Johnson. Cardinals @ Lions. November 16th.

Another improving NFC West squad, the Cardinals also have themselves a lockdown corner in Patrick Peterson. In fact, some (many) seem to think Sherman is a bit overhyped and Peterson is the best corner in the league. The money reflects it; the former LSU Tiger also just landed himself a MASSIVE (note the capital letters) new contract. Peterson can impact a game in any number of ways: defensively, on special teams and occasionally on offense as well. Although, Cardinals reporter Darren Urban reports that his days as a WR may be “coming to an end.” Regardless, Peterson has had 12 interceptions since 2011; he is an animal.

That said, Calvin Johnson is not human or animal. He is a robot: Megatron, to be exact. For all practical purposes, the 28-year-old is the best wideout in the league and still very much in his prime. Despite coordinators scheming weeks in advance, he still went off for over 1,400 yards last season, and is closing in on 10,000 for his career.

If you want to see Sherman and Peterson on the field at the same time, that will happen twice – the first being on November 23rd in Seattle.

I wouldn’t bet on burning Peterson this bad, but I certainly wouldn’t put anything past Johnson.
