Junior Seau, LB (Chargers 1990-2002, Dolphins 2003-05, Patriots 2006-09)

Long story short, there will probably be riots if Junior Seau isn’t a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer.

A consecutive 12-time Pro Bowler, Seau started in 243 games over 20 seasons for three different teams including leading the New England Patriots to an undefeated regular season in 2007, along with a Super Bowl appearance.  His 243 starts at linebacker are second-most all-time behind Clay Matthews’ 248.

He had 18 interceptions and returned one fumble for a touchdown in his career, however he’s best known for reviving the middle linebacker position in the 90’s.  Seau recorded 1,522 tackles including 56.5 sacks, becoming a household name in the league, especially in San Diego.

While others have honored his legacy in various ways since his death in 2012, the NFL should do the right thing here and induct him on his first chance in 2015.
