Health

The Seahawks were one of the healthier teams in the NFL last season, with their starters missing a total of 44 games due to injuries.

That put them about in the middle of the NFL, according to NFL.com.

Those trends can be mercurial, at best.

The Seahawks have already lost defensive lineman Jesse Williams—again—to a knee injury. Offensive tackle Russell Okung and strong safety Kam Chancellor have yet to participate in team drills coming off of offseason surgery.

Rookie wide receiver Kevin Norwood is sidelined with a foot injury and left guard James Carpenter and Bobby Wagner are still out with injuries sustained early in camp.

Linebacker Malcolm Smith, the Super Bowl MVP, is also still out, recovering from offseason ankle surgery.

That’s a lot of early work lost that can’t be made up.
