Mark Cuban releases statement about Raymond Felton suspension

The NBA suspended Dallas Mavericks point guard Raymond Felton for four games for pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm on Thursday.

Mavs owner Mark Cuban released a statement on the matter.

Felton also added a few words.

The suspension will go into effect for the first four games of the season.

More from Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks acquired Felton this offseason from the New York Knicks in the deal that also sent Tyson Chandler to Dallas.

Felton averaged 9.7 points and 5.6 assists per game this past season with the Knicks.
