8) Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers

Many were skeptical when the Green Bay Packers chose to bank on former Alabama running back Eddie Lacy as their workhorse during the 2013 season, but when the dust settled, Lacy lived up to every rational expectation. At 230 pounds, he is already one of the more powerful running backs in the entire league, and that skill set manifested itself with 11 touchdowns as a rookie, even with Aaron Rodgers under center for much of the season.

With Rodgers back in the fold (presumably for the full, 16-game slate), it will be intriguing to see how the Green Bay offense is deployed with Lacy in his second season. Either way, though, Lacy has proven that he can be explosive, versatile (35 receptions out of the backfield) and consistently effective, and in that offense, he could legitimately explode if given the full, unadulterated opportunity.
