23. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts didn’t do much this offseason, but also didn’t lose much. The two best signings the Colts had was WR Hakeem Nicks and C Phil Costa. Nicks will give Andrew Luck another option in the passing game. If anything, the Colts have to hope Nicks can be a possession receiver and be solid enough to give T.Y. Hilton space to make plays.

Costa might actually be the Colts best signing this offseason. Luck was sacked 32 times last season. That’s too many sacks to give up, if the Colts want truly be considered contenders. Luck is a big, strong guy, so he can take some hits, but there’s no way the Colts and head coach Chuck Pagano want their franchise quarterback getting hit that many times. Costa should be able to help cut down the sacks.

The Colts lost safety Antoine Bethea, which will impact the Colts on the back end of their defense. It will be tough to replace his production, but he was the only real loss that makes a drastic change to the team. It’s bad the Colts lost him, but good they didn’t lose anyone else.
