Yes, I will go there. I know that Jay Cutler is one of the most disliked players in the NFL. That does not matter. He will win the MVP.

Cutler has a great offense around him. His two top wide receivers, Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, went to the Pro Bowl last season. He has one of the best and underrated running backs in Matt Forte. He has a tight end in Martellus Bennett who is big and tough.

I know Cutler has had trouble staying healthy. That was before he had a line that he trusted. He was learning the Marc Trestman offense. After seeing how good the offense is, and how good the offensive line is, Cutler will have a great season.

Cutler still has that rifle arm, and now he has receivers who will catch those bullets if thrown anywhere in their vicinity. His maturity will help him make better throws.

Don’t underestimate the power of Trestman. He is known as a quarterback whisperer. He has coached Steve Young and when he was at his best. He coached Bernie Kosar when he was winning at the University of Miami and with the Cleveland Browns. He coached Rich Gannon when he won the MVP.

Under Trestman, Cutler completed 63% of his passes (second best percentage in his career). He also had a passer rating of 89.2 (best mark of his career).

In his second year with Trestman, expect great things from Jay Cutler.
