10. Brad Stevens
NBA Coaching record: 25-57

Stevens makes this list for more reasons that his performance at the helm of the 2013-14 Boston Celtics team. Last season, the Celtics were left with a gutted roster after Doc Rivers and the “Big 3” of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce all left town. The team’s leading scorer was Jeff Green and the leading rebounder was Jared Sullinger. That’s not exactly a whole lot to work with. The Celtics won’t be much better roster-wise in 2014-15, but that’s okay for Stevens. He signed a six-year, $22 million deal with the Celts in July of 2013 and Boston would be silly to let Stevens go any earlier than that.

He was regarded as one of the best college coaches during his time at Bulter, when he took the Bulldogs to back to back Final Fours in 2010 and 2011. He came one Gordon Hayward miracle shot away from winning the National title as well.

His team selected James Young and Marcus Smart in the first round this year, which looks like the makings of the Celtic’s roster of the future. Stevens is an excellent young coach, and once his franchise retools their roster, he is a good enough coach to guide the Celtics to an NBA championship.
