2) A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals

With all of the excess attention being paid to Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton, there has been a slight shift in focus with regard to A.J. Green, but he still remains one of the best players in football that doesn’t receive a great deal of national attention. The former Georgia Bulldogs star finished fifth in the NFL with 1,426 receiving yards and eighth in the NFL in touchdown catches with 11, but the scariest part about Green is that he was able to accomplish that with Dalton as his quarterback.

The 26-year-old Green is one of the best route runners in the league, he has elite hands, and as a red zone target, he is able to find small creases to create separation for throwing lanes. He isn’t a pure athlete to the extent of players like Josh Gordon or Julio Jones, but Green is certainly above-average across the board, and his creativity and consistency exceed that of the great majority of the best wide receivers in the league.

In a world where the number one wide receiver didn’t exist, A.J. Green would be more than capable of holding the mantle, and if Andy Dalton improves (admittedly a big leap), the numbers for Green should balloon.
