8) Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons

Julio Jones is a physical marvel. He is 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds of pure athleticism and explosiveness, and to top it off, Jones possesses quality hands and polished route running to make him the full package as a wide receiver. However, Jones can’t be handed a place among the top-5 in the NFL until he establishes a more consistent track record, and that includes the ability to stay on the field.

The former Alabama star appeared in only 5 games during the 2013 season as a result of foot surgery, and he also battled injury concerns while in college and during his rookie season in 2011. Still, Jones showed more than enough to warrant this ranking in a brief stint last year, with 41 catches and 580 yards in less than five full games, and he was the leading receiver in the league upon his exit.

Atlanta’s offense is blessed with both Jones and Roddy White, but with Tony Gonzalez gone to retirement, quarterback Matt Ryan will be highly focused on Julio Jones this season. If he’s healthy, 1,500+ yards and double-digit touchdowns are certainly in play.
