3. More D-League teams means more revenue

The better quality of prospects inside of the D-League would generate increased revenue in the D-League. Basketball fans would be able to see the most coveted recruits play in the D-League on a nightly basis.

The more players that would come into the D-League every year would create expansion and the NBA D-League would gain more teams. Again, each NBA team would finally have their own D-League affiliate. The minor league would be able to showcase the next generation of talent within the D-League.

As I mentioned earlier, the NBA could even create a NBA D-League Draft for the high school and international players who do not fit the age requirement. We would get a chance to see the talented players who could succeed on the next level on an even larger playing field.

Why wouldn’t the NBA D-League All-Star game become a big deal to watch?

Having the right players in the D-League will create a buzz within it and would make it a must see event. It would be similar to the Futures game that the MLB has every year for its up and coming talent. Seeing the best former high school prospects playing against each other infused with the best D-League players would create a following among fans.
