4. Anthony Davis:

2013-14 Stat Line: 67 games, 35.2 MPG, 20.8 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 2.8 BPG, 1.6 APG, 1.3 SPG, .519/.222/.791 shooting, 26.5 PER

Anthony Davis hasn’t played in more than 67 games in a season in either of his first two years in the league, but the future is extremely bright for this monster in the making. Last year, Davis made his first All-Star game in a loaded Western frontcourt and started to make good on the promise of being a franchise player. His shot-blocking covers up for some slightly shaky skills in the aspects of team defense, but it won’t be long before the Unibrow is terrorizing opponents on that end.

Davis is still a ways away from adding a three-point shot to his arsenal, but he’s already got the midrange jumper down and his quick first step helps him to get to rim where he’s able to finish thanks to his size and unbelievable arm length. That length helped him lead the league in blocks last season and the Brow had the fourth highest Player Efficiency Rating in the NBA.

Heading into his third season, expectations are pretty high for Davis. The New Orleans Pelicans should be in the hunt for a playoff spot, even if they might not have the bench depth to lock one up when all is said and done. That being said, the Pellies are one monster season from Anthony Davis away from shocking everyone in 2014-15. Davis made a jump from his rookie season to his sophomore year, and no one should be surprised to see him make yet another leap in year three.
