2. Chris Johnson, New York Jets

The Tennessee Titans knew what they were doing when they let Johnson, 28, walk after a career-low 3.9 yards per carry season in 2013.

Johnson’s been living off his 2009 season when he ran for 2,006 yards and 5.6 yards per carry for the last four years and simply put, he’s nowhere close to that type of player any longer.

Yes, it is impossible to match that type of production on a yearly basis but he is trending downward and in a hurry after averaging less than four yards per rush. The workload Johnson had the first six years of his career is wearing down the ultra-speedy back and that extra gear is gone.

Johnson is not even going to be a featured running back with the Jets this season, so if Jets fans are expecting the “CJ2K” of old this year, they will be sorely mistaken. He is still a dependable back who has played in all but one game in his career, but at this point of his career, he is a guy best suited as a change-of-pace back who won’t have to be the workhorse.

The Jets plan to go with a running back by committee approach and I envision Johnson being extremely unhappy with that role and could be a player who lets his emotional state impact his play on the field. Stay away from him in fantasy drafts, he has bust written all over him.
