14. Eric Fisher, Kansas City Chiefs

The No. 1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft struggled as a right tackle as a rookie and is struggling as a left tackle this preseason.

Fisher struggled mightily in the team’s second preseason game against the Carolina Panthers and looks more like an undrafted free agent trying to make the roster than a No. 1 overall pick. In his defense, Fisher had offseason shoulder surgery which has contributed to his sloppy play according to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.

“Any time you’re coming off a significant injury you have to continue to battle through and that’s what this preseason has been for him,” Reid said, via ArrowheadPride.com. “He’s coming off of a shoulder surgery and you saw how he started the game.

He started off like gangbusters and then as that arm gets tired he has a tendency to not shoot it quite as fast as he would when it’s fresh. I’m not sure he’s even conscious of that. You see that with players coming off knees, same thing. As the game goes on, they don’t play off it as well as they do earlier in the game.”

If Fisher does not get the strength back in his upper-body soon, he risks losing his confidence and edge needed to play offensive tackle and could leave quarterback Alex Smith vulnerable to a number of sacks and reduce the room Jamaal Charles has to run.
