The Taney Dragons made a statement with their diet. If their from Philly, they should eat like Philly. And they definitely shouldn’t eat like Chicago right before competing against a Chicago team.

So, before Mo’ne Davis and the Taney Dragons faced over elimination from the Little League World Series against the Chicago’s Jackie Robinson West, they turned down Chicago style pizza and asked for their native specialty, Philly cheesesteaks.

At the end of the day, Chicago had the last laugh. Jackie Robinson west eliminated the Taney Dragons from the Little League World Series.

While Mo’ne Davis was making history as a female pitcher, Jackie Robinson West mades headlines of their own for being a team comprised entire of black players.

Davis didn’t pitch in the game, as she has hit her max pitch county. She played first base instead bat seventh in the lineup, hitting 0-for-1 in the Dragons 6-5 loss.

Davis will head back to Philly, where she’ll start eight grade and get ready for basketball season. Her goal is to go on to play for UCONN and eventually the WNBA. With the incredible athleticism she showed, it would be hard to think that she’s not capable of such a feat.

Jackie Robinson West will advance to play Las Vegas on Saturday. Las Vegas beat Davis’ Philadelphia team in the game prior.

Las Vegas has beaten Jackie Robinson west once already. They’re favored to do it again.
