AFC East

The AFC East will be Tom Brady‘s playground again. It seems like every year, Brady and company work out the team’s kinks by playing their division rivals during the regular season. They win their division without much problem, and they are ready for a long playoff run.

Things look to be the same again this season. Yes, the New York Jets and Rex Ryan are trying to get their bravado back by smack talking again, but in the end, the Pats will reign supreme again.

The Jets have Geno Smith leading the offense, but the better quarterback may be his backup, Michael Vick. Geno talks like he is the number one, but if he doesn’t improve on his so-so rookie campaign, the Jets are doomed. Yes, their defense will keep them in games, but if you cannot score, you cannot win.

The Dolphins are having trouble just keeping personnel on the field. They just got Knowshon Moreno back after he injured his knee. They lost Mike Pouncey for an extended period of time because of hip surgery. Kicker Caleb Sturgis has aggravated a groin injury that affected him last season.

Then you have Dion Jordan and Reshad Jones, each of whom are suspended for the first four weeks of the season for taking PED’s.

Ryan Tannehill is still having trouble getting on the same page with top receiver Mike Wallace. Tannehill has to prove this season that he can be the franchise quarterback the Dolphins have been looking for since Dan Marino. Completing some passes to Wallace would go far in getting that accomplished.

The Buffalo Bills had some hopes going into this season. Then some of those hopes got dashed when Kiko Alonso was lost for the season. Rookie receiver Sammy Watkins looked good early in the preseason, but he has been slowed by a rib injury.

Now some dissent has grown on the team. Coach Doug Marrone ripped into his team after multiple fights. He yelled at them to “Get their (expletive) together.” He also got into it with Jerry Hughes, allegedly telling him “You don’t have to play on this team.” Things aren’t looking too good in Buffalo.
