Chris Johnson, HB, New York Jets

After bursting onto the scene with a 2,000 yard rushing season in 2009 as a member of the Tennessee Titans, Chris Johnson said that he would do it again, dubbing it the “CJ2K” campaign.  Well, he hasn’t come close.

Entering his seventh season in the NFL, his first with the New York Jets, Johnson has showed signs of slowing down over the years since his 2,000-yard campaign in 2009.  He only came close to that 2,006 rushing yard total once, running for 1,364 yards the year after.

While Johnson is infamously known for having “get away from the cop speed,” he does have one thing going for him: he’s been durable throughout his career, let alone fairly consistent.

Johnson hasn’t missed a game since 2009 and has missed just one start from 2009-to-present, and has rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his first six NFL seasons.

While his speed is slowly starting to fade, Jets fans should be excited to have a pair of solid running backs in the backfield this year.

Although, it would be great to see Johnson showcase his “get away from the cop speed” in New York.
