They have pieces in place to be great this year and two of their more interesting players are Brandon Knight and Kendall Marshall. Both are former lottery picks and both will be vying for the same position this season. Knight hasn’t always been the best point guard, as he’s suited as a two-guard, but Marshall may not overtake him as starter.
According to Steve Kyler from Basketball Insiders, it’s possible that Kendall Marshall starts at point guard for the Bucks this year but it’s far more likely that Brandon Knight gets the nod instead.
"Its possible, but I think its more likely that Brandon Knight starts at the point, slides to the two when OJ comes out. I wouldn’t rule it out. Remember Jason Kidd went to Shaun Livingston a lot last year, so he’s gonna play the guy that runs the system the best."
Rotating the two around the backcourt seems to be a more likely option, especially if O.J. Mayo is traded at any point during the season. But the point guard battle between Knight and Marshall could make the Bucks a better team — which is all they’re looking for at the moment.
