No. 6 – Cameron Wake – DE – Miami Dolphins

Cameron Wake is another player whose sack total doesn’t tell the whole story. While eight and a half sacks is a fine number, it’s not a total that one would expect to land a player at number six on this list. However, when you go beyond the sack totals you can see the impact that Wake is able to have on opposing teams.

Wake’s 71 combined pressures is the highest number on this list so far and is a full ten more pressures than both Elvis Dumervil and Justin Houston each had. Wake’s 10.23% pressure rate is good for fourth best of the players on this top ten list and his +29.9 PFF pass rushing grade is the fifth highest. If the Dolphins offense can take a step forward and give the team some more leads to protect, Wake may see his totals really take off as teams have to pass more against the Dolphins defense late in games.
