Projecting the NFL’s statistical leaders for 2014
LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia Eagles — Rushing yards
McCoy led the NFL in rushing yards by a wide margin last year with 1,606 yards for the Eagles, outpacing second-place finisher, Matt Forte by 267 yards as he won his first rushing title.

No running back has led the NFL in rushing yards in consecutive seasons since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006-2007 with 1, 185 and 1,474 yards, respectively.
I’m not scared off by the presence of Darren Sproles in Philadelphia who will be a receiver out of the backfield and not take many carries away from McCoy which is why this is the year the NFL sees that streak snapped.
McCoy thrives in the second season under head coach and offensive innovator, Chip Kelly as the Eagles continue to pile up points as the best team in the NFC East and runs for 1,500 yards.
McCoy had such a large lead over second place that I think it is going to be difficult to pass him, but guys like Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles and Matt Forte will make it a close race.
