Projecting the NFL’s statistical leaders for 2014
Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers — Rushing touchdowns
Lacy won the rookie of the year award last year in his first season out of Alabama as the second round pick and 61st overall selection made a number of teams regret passing on him twice in the draft as he ran for 11 touchdowns.

The 5-11, 231-pound running back is built for goal line work and with the Packers fielding one of the three best quarterbacks in the NFL in Aaron Rodgers, Lacy is going to get a lot of work near the end zone.
Lacy finished one score behind Jamaal Charles and Marshawn Lynch who each had 12. After missing one game and another where he left with a concussion after one carry, Lacy would have led the league as a rookie if he played a 16-game schedule.
Lynch is advancing in age and the Seattle Seahawks seem determined to give Christine Michael more work and I have serious doubts about Charles’ offensive line.
I think he will be better in his second year in the offense and ready for what defenses will do to try to stop him and put up 14 touchdowns as the Packers compete for the NFC North with the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.
