Projecting the NFL’s statistical leaders for 2014
Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions — Receiving yards
Johnson has led the NFL in receiving yards in two of the last three seasons, finishing third last season with 1,492 yards last year. Josh Gordon led the league with 1,646 yards last year, but he is facing a lengthy suspension for another failed drug test so his chances of defending his title have gone up in smoke.

Matthew Stafford has the best weapon in NFL and “Megatron” will continue to flourish as new offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi emulates what he did when he was the quarterback coach of Brees with the Saints and put up monster numbers the last four seasons.
Johnson is a threat to score every play and is coming off a season where he averaged more yards per catch than he did when he had an NFL record 1,964 yards. Look for Johnson to get back over the 1,600-yard mark this season and put the Lions on his back and try to get them back into the postseason.
