NHL: 25 most dominant offensive players of all-time
By Daniel
18. (TIE) Martin St. Louis (1998-Present): 26 Points
St. Louis is definitely one of the quietest superstars in NHL history. His masterful work on the offensive end of the ice is routinely overshadowed by the game’s current superstars and personalities. He’s only topped 100 points twice but has led the league in points (and assists) an impressive two times. Career points-per-game: 0.92
Primary Team: Tampa Bay Lighting
18. (TIE) Jean Beliveau (1950-1971): 26 Points
The legendary Canadien played a long successful career, but had some years of dominance speckled in there, too. In 1955-56 he led the NHL in points. To go along with that he led the league in goals and assists twice each as well. Career points-per-game: 1.08
Primary Team: Montreal Canadiens
18. (TIE) Steve Yzerman (1983-2006): 26 Points
The beloved captain of the Red Wings played in an era dominated by a couple of the league’s greatest players of all-time. But he still put together one of the great careers in NHL history. Six times he scored more than 100 points in a season and five times he reached the 50 goal mark. Career points-per-game: 1.15
Primary Team: Detroit Red Wings
17. Jari Kurri (1980-1998): 28 Points
The greatest Finnish player in NHL history put up some truly prolific numbers throughout his career. Specifically from 1982-1989 when he tallied 100 points in six of the seven seasons. He also put together four 50-goal seasons during that stretch of play, too. Career points-per-game: 1.11
Primary Team: Edmonton Oilers
16. Pavel Bure (1991-2003): 30 Points
Many consider Bure to be one of the purest goal scorers in NHL history. True to his reputation, five times he hit the 50-goal mark and three times led the entire NHL in goals. He also put up two 100 point seasons during his back-to-back 60-goal campaigns. In 1999-00 he led the league with 14 game-winning goals. Career points-per-game: 1.11
Primary Team: Vancouver Canucks
