Allen: Philadelphia Eagles. This was a tough call, but I can easily see Foles backsliding and Chip Kelly learning just how fast NFL defenses can adapt. The Eagles could take a step back this season.

Sanchez: Kansas City Chiefs. The Kansas City offensive line was picked apart in free agency, which doesn’t bode well for the two players who got new fat contracts during camp — Alex Smith and Jamaal Charles. Add in a suspension to start the year for Dwayne Bowe and the Chiefs offense could return to the funk they were in at the beginning of 2013. As for the defense, we should expect the same ability to get after the passer, but what happens if Justin Houston and company don’t get to the quarterback? Panic. I’d advice you not to take a look at the Chiefs depth chart in the secondary, because it is quite the disaster. Enjoy that two times a year, Peyton.

Dyce: Carolina Panthers. The Panthers had a solid 2013 season winning the NFC South, a tough division, and earning a first-round bye. They lost almost their entire wide receiver corp, and Cam Newton’s health heading into the season is questionable while he recovers from rib injuries. New receivers and an overly cautious Newton in the first few weeks of the season, coupled with their division, spells an underachieving season in 2014. That doesn’t mean they won’t be the worst team in the division or league, but they won’t make the playoffs after earning a first-round bye last year.

Jorgensen: Arizona Cardinals. 10-6 last year, yes. But despite one of his best years in 2013, Carson Palmer just simply can’t be trusted.

Hill: Panthers. They willed their way to the postseason last year and proceeded to gut the offense of any sort of weapon possible. It’s like they thought last year was too easy so they turned it up to All-Madden mode when they’ve barely mastered Rookie mode.
