NFL football is back! No more mock drafts. No more free agency rumors. No more training camp updates about which fourth string wide receiver looks great catching passes in shorts and a t-shirt. No more painful to watch preseason games. The games that count are finally back. So how will your favorite team do in their season opener? What teams should you be picking to win in your office pool this week? That’s what I’m here to help you with. This is my second season doing game predictions for FanSided. Last season went pretty well.

As you can see in these final standings from last season I did more than hold my own with the so called “experts” from the biggest websites around. The only person from ESPN, CBS, or Pro Football Talk to beat me last season in picking more correct winners was ESPN’s Ron Jaworski (curse you Jaws!).

So now I’m back for year two of previewing and predicting every game each week and hopefully the picks will continue to be consistently on target. For each game I’ll give you a short breakdown on the game and to tell you not only WHAT team will win, but WHY I think that team will win. One new addition this year is my “Survivor Pool Recommendation” for those of you that play in office pools where you have to pick one winner each week. Let’s go ahead and get to this week’s games………
