Jairus Byrd

Buffalo Bills to New Orleans Saints

Jarius Byrd led the AFC in interceptions in 2009. When people thought it was a fluke, he backed it up by putting together solid seasons, including intercepting four passes in just nine starts last season.

After playing alongside minimal talent around the Buffalo Bills organization, Byrd left the Bills to move on to greener pastures playing with one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, Drew Brees. The Saints consistently put up one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL. Their one Achilles heel has always been their play on the defensive side of the football.

Adding a ball hawking safety like Byrd fits the Saints perfectly. In a division where the Saints will face wide receivers such as Roddy White, Julio Jones, Vincent Jackson, and Kelvin Benjamin, Byrd provides the necessary ability to contain the deep threat and quick touchdown scores these receivers can provide.
