Michael Johnson

Cincinnati Bengals to Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just hired a new head coach in Lovie Smith. His defensive schemes allow players to excel within his system. The defense in Tampa Bay just got improved not only because of Smith, but also some of the players he brought in.

One of these players is the former Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson.

The 6-foot-7, 260-pound behemoth is only two years removed from a season where he had 11.5 sacks and one interception. Last season, he still had an impact, recording three sacks and having 10 pass deflections.

Playing alongside Adrian Clayborn, Johnson will create havoc for opposing quarterbacks who attempt to have enough time to throw the football. With Johnson rushing the end, and having Gerald McCoy in the middle to also clog up the pocket, quarterbacks will be uncomfortable and get pressured routinely.
