Darrelle Revis

Tampa Bay Buccaneers to New England Patriots

This signing was so significant to the NFL because Revis is a once in a generation talent. At one point when he was playing for the New York Jets , his head coach Rex Ryan then proclaimed Revis was the best defensive player in football. Now after a terrible stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Revis is back inside of the AFC East.

As much as I love watching Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, Revis this year will have a better season.

In Tampa Bay he had to play a zone defense scheme that he is not created for. In New England, head coach Bill Bellicheck will play to the strengths of Revis and allow him to cover the best receivers man to man. His defense is the missing link to bringing the Patriots back to prominence within the NFL. Looking towards the future, if they were to face the Broncos, Revis has the ability to guard all of Denver’s best receivers.
