The strength of the New York Jets has always been their defense and that was the case again on Sunday afternoon when they limited the Oakland Raiders’ offense to just 158 total yards in their 19-14 win.

New York also had a strong rushing attack led by Chris Ivory, who led the team in rushing with 102 yards and a touchdown. Chris Johnson added 68 yards on the ground, as the Jets totaled 212 rushing yards as a team.

As we have seen in the past, a strong rushing attack and impressive defense can lead to great success in the NFL.

It doesn’t hurt when Geno Smith has a solid outing, as well.
