The St. Louis Rams had a brutal showing in their season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

It didn’t take long for head coach Jeff Fisher and company to give up on quarterback Shaun Hill, who went 8-of-13 for just 81 yards and an interception. The Rams then turned to Austin Davis, who entered the league in 2012 as an undrafted free agent. Davis didn’t fare much better.

Davis tossed 16 completions on 23 attempts for 192 yards and an interception.

St. Louis was unable to keep their offense on the field which led to an exhausted defense that gave up 34 points. For a team that is supposed to rely on the strength of their defense to carry them, it was not the kind of start that you wanted to see if you were a Rams fan.

It doesn’t get any easier for the Rams in Week 2, as they travel to Raymond James Stadium to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
