Arizona Cardinals at New York Giants

Eli Manning looks broken. If I was a Giants fan I would be REALLY worried about my quarterback. He doesn’t look comfortable, confident, or even motivated to me at this point. If he was playing at his former Super Bowl MVP level the Giants could win some games with their roster, but until Manning snaps out of it I’ll have a hard time picking them to beat anyone. The Cardinals on the other hand, impressed me on Monday night. I thought the Chargers would be able to move the ball on them without Darnell Dockett and Karlos Dansby in the middle of their defense. They proved me wrong and if they can stop the Chargers I think they can shut down the sputtering Giants attack as well.

New England Patriots at Minnesota Vikings

I’m starting to have some doubts about whether Tom Brady is still the MVP caliber QB that he used to be. When you add that to how good the Vikings looked in week one it was tempting to predict the upset here. Ultimately, I just think New England has too talented of an overall roster to start out 0-2. Also, I have some questions about how much of the Vikings week one win was about the Rams just being a hot mess and how much was about the Vikings being good. I definitely think the Vikings have found themselves a good head coach in Mike Zimmer. I’m taking the Patriots in a close one, but I won’t fall out of my chair if Minnesota surprises some people here.
