New Orleans Saints at Cleveland Browns

I was genuinely surprised that the Falcons were able to beat the Saints last weekend. Either Atlanta is primed for a bigger rebound season than I expected or the Saints defense isn’t as good as I thought it was. While this week’s game is in Cleveland I just can’t look at the disparity in offensive firepower between these two teams and think it’s going to be anything but a Saints win. There may not be a bigger drop off in the NFL then going from facing Julio Jones and Roddy White to the Josh Gordon-less wide receiver corps in Cleveland. Also, the difference between Drew Brees and Brian Hoyer is probably worth noting as well. Advantage New Orleans.

Atlanta Falcons at Cincinnati Bengals

I’ll give credit where credit is due. The Atlanta Falcons had a much better showing than I thought was possible when they beat their division rivals from New Orleans last week. The Bengals got a quality division win of their own when they went to Baltimore and pulled out a win. I think this game will be pretty high scoring with both Matt Ryan and Andy Dalton putting up good numbers. If it was in Atlanta I might take the Falcons, but I am still picking the Bengals to be the second best team in the AFC (behind Denver) and I think they’ll pull out a close one here.
