Bungie and Activision released the newest IP on the market on Tuesday in Destiny.  The game that takes the first person shooter, merges it with a role-playing experience, and does it all with its own spin, is just getting started.  Bungie has announced one of the first timed events set to take place for the title.

For those who have somehow already completed the story and are simply hanging out in the crucible honing their skills against the competition, you are on the verge of getting your next test.

From September 12 through the 14, Bungie will have a new Crucible playlist for gamers to take part in.  Playing through small and medium-sized salvage maps will net Guardians Crucible gear, marks, and reputation.

Next week, on September 16, Vault of Glass will open.  A co-op raid event designed for those level 26 and above, will allow Guardians to do battle in hopes of netting some raid gear and ascendant materials.  With Vault of Glass being a high level raid, you will want to take some time this weekend to prepare.

Bungie also announced that later in September, they will unveil playlists entitled Combined Arms and Queen’s Wrath.

Lastly, in October, the Iron Banner will be making its first debut on the retail version of Destiny.  Anyone who played in the beta may already know the mode, but in the Iron Banner, your actual gear is taken into account rather than using a player balancing model as in the Crucible.

Bungie has always been known to support games to an extreme extent, and have done a great job of drawing gamers in.  Make sure to stay tuned in the coming months for more Destiny goodies.
