World Cup, Third Place Final: France vs. Lithuania

There are only two more games left in the World Cup this year and after Saturday there will be just two teams left standing. While Team USA will be battling Serbia for the World Cup Final, it will be France and Lithuania going at it for the rights to the third place prize.

More from FIBA World Cup

France shocked the world when they upset Spain this past week but they laid an egg against the Serbs on Thursday night. as a result, the French will be licking their wounds against a Lithuanian team that felt the wrath of Team USA on Friday night. France and Lithuania actually make up an intriguing matchup though, as Jonas Valanciunis leads the way for Serbian pros while Boris Diawn and Nicolas Batum lead the way as french NBA players on roster.

It’s not the titan tumble we were expecting in the World Cup Final, but France and Lithuania should provide for some solid basketball on Saturday.
