New York Giants (+3) over Arizona Cardinals

Much like the Kansas City-Denver pairing, this is a classic match-up between two teams that look to be heading in opposite directions. The Giants were ghastly during their blow-out loss to the Detroit Lions last week, while Arizona surprised the public with a comeback win over the Chargers late on Monday evening. With that on the table, this line absolutely reeks of the bookmakers wanting money on Arizona, and we’re going the other way.

If this game would have been scheduled in week one, the Giants would likely have been favored, and at worst, this would have been listed as a “pick’em”. Now? New York is getting a full field goal in their home building, and the Cardinals are traveling from coast to coast for a 1:00 pm kick-off on a short week. I will certainly admit that Arizona appears to be a solidly better team at this stage, but I’ll take the points for a home team in a fortunate spot given the circumstances.
